Trump Says He Likes Lula, Questions ‘Strange’ Look of Brazil’s Presidential Election
Washington: US President Donald Trump has questioned the way Brazil’s presidential election was tabulated, describing the process as “very strange”, while saying he maintains a good relationship with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
“Well, I’m not running Brazil, I’m running the USA. I like Lula. I get along with him very well,” Trump said.
However, he expressed reservations about the election process, saying it had a “very bad look” because of the way votes were tabulated and an extension that was granted.
