Harsh Singh wins Judo Gold at CWG 2026; PM Modi hails ‘historic day’

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday congratulated Harsh Singh on winning the gold medal in Judo at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, describing the achievement as a historic moment for Indian Judo.

In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister praised Harsh Singh’s outstanding performance, saying his passion and dedication were reflected in the way he competed.

Calling it a “historic day for Indian Judo”, the Prime Minister congratulated the judoka for bringing home the gold medal and extended his best wishes for his future competitions.

“Historic Day for Indian Judo! Congrats to Harsh Singh for winning a Gold. His passion and dedication are clearly reflected in the exceptional performance. Best wishes for the upcoming endeavours,” the Prime Minister wrote on X.
