Dakar: India’s Khushbu Rajakbhai Darjada has secured at least a silver medal after storming into the women’s 63kg judo final at the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal.
The 15-year-old now has an opportunity to become India’s first-ever judo gold medallist at the Youth Olympics.

India’s previous judo medal at the event came in 2018, when Thangjam Tababi Devi won silver in the women’s 44kg category at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Darjada’s entry into the final marks another significant milestone for Indian judo, with the teenager now set to compete for the gold medal.
