Cyclone Murasu Effect: Coastal Karnataka, Malenadu Likely to Receive Heavy Rain
Bengaluru: Several districts in Karnataka are likely to receive rainfall as Cyclone Murasu moves towards Andhra Pradesh, with thunderstorms and lightning forecast in parts of the state until November 5.
Heavy rain is expected in coastal districts Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada. North interior districts, including Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag and Haveri, may also receive rain accompanied by winds of 30-40 kmph.
The weather system is also likely to bring heavy rainfall to Malenadu and central Karnataka districts, including Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Davanagere, Chitradurga and Tumakuru. Moderate rain is forecast in parts of south interior Karnataka, including Bengaluru Urban and Rural districts.
