US supports Saudi Arabia amid Houthi attacks
Washington: US President Donald Trump has warned that Tehran will face serious consequences if Iran is found to be behind threats directed at the United States.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington would honour its defence and security commitments to Saudi Arabia as the kingdom faces attacks from the Houthis.
Rubio said the Houthis had attacked Saudi Arabia and that the kingdom had the right to defend itself. However, he did not clarify whether the United States would provide air support.

Separately, 10 countries, including the US and Canada, accused Iran and its proxies of engaging in terrorist activities and other “malicious” operations in the Western Hemisphere.
The countries alleged that Iran and its proxies were linked to activities including lethal plots, illicit fundraising, political interference and foreign influence operations.
