‘Don’t Get Caught’ Rather Than ‘Don’t Be Corrupt’: Ravi C.T. Targets Karnataka CM
Bengaluru: MLC Dr. Ravi C.T. has criticised the Karnataka Chief Minister over his reported advice to ministers during a Cabinet meeting, alleging that it amounted to asking them to avoid getting caught rather than refrain from corruption.
Speaking to the media in Bengaluru, Ravi cited allegations of scams in various government departments and questioned the government’s moral authority to speak about transparent administration. He sarcastically compared the Chief Minister’s remarks to a master thief instructing accomplices on how to commit theft.
Ravi also accused the Congress and other opposition parties of double standards over their protests against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He argued that efforts to identify and remove fake and ineligible voters should not be opposed while allegations of bogus entries are being raised.

He further said that targeting Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar amounted to an attack on constitutional institutions. Ravi also questioned whether foreign assistance was behind the opposition to SIR, but did not cite specific evidence to support the suggestion.
Criticising opposition parties for questioning electronic voting machines when they lose elections while accepting results when they win, Ravi called for transparency in electoral roll revision and protection of voters’ rights.
